1. Our Services

giftyoursong.co.uk is a creative platform that transforms your stories into personalized songs using the details you provide through our submission form. We offer three plans:
 



Plan 1 – Digital Song Delivery: A fully produced custom song delivered to you via email.
 


Plan 2 – Song + Lyric Video on YouTube: Includes Plan 1 plus a lyric video published (unlisted by default) on our official YouTube channel, with customizable lyric display and visual background.
 


Plan 3 – Song + Custom Slideshow Video on YouTube: Includes Plan 1 plus a video slideshow featuring your own uploaded images and music, hosted on our YouTube channel.
 



We also offer optional physical keepsakes and subscription-based products, which may vary by season.

2. Single-Page Website Format

Our website is designed as a single-page experience. All services, forms, legal notices, and user interactions occur on one scrollable page. You are deemed to have read and accepted these Terms by continuing to navigate or interact with any section of the website.

3. Your Content & Submissions
When you submit personal stories, names, jokes, pictures, or other content to us (“Submissions”), you confirm that:



You have full legal rights and permission to share the content.


The content is original or appropriately licensed for your use.


No part of your submission violates any third party’s intellectual property or privacy rights.
 



By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, edit, and adapt your material for the sole purpose of producing your custom song and/or video.

We do not share your content publicly without your explicit consent.

4. Delivery & Access

Turnaround time is typically 24 to 48 hours from the time your submission is fully received. Deliverables may include:
 



MP3 or WAV files sent via email (Plan 1)


Unlisted YouTube video links (Plans 2 & 3)
 



Please ensure you provide a valid and accessible email address. We are not responsible for delivery delays due to incorrect contact information or spam filters.
5. Usage Rights & Ownership

You are granted full personal-use rights for any content we create for you. This includes sharing it with friends, family, or on personal social media.

Unless otherwise stated:
 



Commercial use (e.g. monetizing on YouTube, Spotify, or selling) is not permitted.


Songs are not registered under performance rights organizations (e.g. PRS, ASCAP) unless by separate agreement.
 



Our content may be created with the help of external tools and collaborators. We retain the right to reuse instrumental compositions or production techniques unless they include identifiable personal details.

6. Refund Policy

Due to the personalized nature of our products, we do not offer refunds once a project has entered production.

However, we care deeply about your experience. If there’s an issue with your order (such as incorrect content, missed details, or technical errors), please contact us at hello@giftyoursong.co.uk within 5 business days of delivery. We’ll do our best to revise or resolve the issue.

7. Conduct & Prohibited Use

You agree not to submit or request content that:



Is offensive, abusive, violent, or discriminatory


Contains third-party copyrighted material (e.g. song lyrics, commercial jingles) without permission


Violates someone else’s privacy (e.g. sharing another person’s photos or medical history without consent)
 



We reserve the right to cancel any submission that violates these terms without refund.

8. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to operate our business, and by using our services, you also agree to the relevant terms of those platforms. We are not responsible for their functionality, availability, or policy changes.

9. Pricing & Payments

All prices are listed in GBP (£) and may be subject to change. Payments are securely processed via Stripe. We do not store your payment details.
Subscription and keepsake services may have their own terms, renewal policies, and delivery timelines, which will be clearly outlined during checkout.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our service.
This includes (but is not limited to) delivery delays, platform outages (e.g. YouTube or email), or unintended emotional impact of custom content.

11. Intellectual Property

All musical compositions, lyrics, visuals, and creative formats are protected under applicable copyright laws. While your story remains yours, the artistic execution (including melodies and arrangements) may remain our creative property, unless explicitly transferred.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally to reflect changes to our services, platforms, or legal requirements. When we do, the “Effective Date” at the top of this page will be updated.
Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
